Starbucks is opening its first store on Washington’s Dupont Circle in Washington, DC, on Saturday.
The store, which will be the Starbucks of DC, will be located at 301 West Jefferson Street.
It will have coffee, espresso and other drinks, along with some coffee-related items.
“The shop is part of our strategy to serve a larger market in a much more diverse neighborhood,” Starbucks said in a statement.
“Our vision is to bring Starbucks to more than a dozen different neighborhoods across the city, from the nation’s capital to the outer suburbs.”
The company said it is hiring about 60 full- and part-time workers for the store.
It is not clear how many of those will be part-timers.
A spokesperson for the company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The first Starbucks store opened in Washington in the early 1990s.
The chain has since expanded in more than 100 locations across the U.S., with more than 1,500 in the District alone.
